WINNO'S WINNERS: EAGLE FARM, FEBRUARY 18, 2023

By Darren Winningham | Friday, February 17, 2023

Eagle Farm this week where the track is rated ‘Good’ and the rail is out two metres for the entire circuit. Looks like another week of hot weather.

Some terrible falls last weekend across Australia. I sincerely wish all jockeys a speedy recovery. You must admire and respect these athletes who put their bodies on the line each week for our entertainment. As I continually say it is the only profession I know where an ambulance follows you everywhere at your workplace. Stay safe jockeys, strappers, our track gate attendants, and all others involved in the sport!

Congratulations to Nick Hahn and Greer Beck who got married on Monday. The pictures on social media looked amazing. Rumour has it that they are having a break on Hamilton Island and Greer has forgotten his wallet – standard I reckon!

NB: As these selections were made prior to race-day, please check for any changes to track conditions and for any scratchings on the day.

'Last Race Larry' brings the long-priced Irish Songs back to scale after his last race heroics at Doomben last Saturday. He seems to be looking around for Winno to rub it in, but I was not at the track. Larry destroyed my Quaddie and Treble last weekend with this winner in the last. Dear Larry – please do not do the same this weekend!
