STUART AND BAYLEY KENDRICK ANNOUNCE THE OFFICIAL FORMATION OF THEIR TRAINING PARTNERSHIP

There has been a subtle shift in the official makeup of the Kendrick racing stable at the Sunshine Coast with their announcement that Bayley Kendrick will join his father in a newly formed training partnership.

The media release confirmed that Bayley Kendrick has been involved with the stable for the past eight years, the last three as stable foreman and that hands-on experience, and all that entails, had led naturally to him being given an expanded role in the family-run business.

The newly formed Stuart and Bayley Kendrick training partnership will have their first runners at Doomben on Wednesday where the four-year-old gelding Dun Darte Cheap, who scored his best result to date last time when finishing in fourth place in a Maiden over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast, will fire the Team Kendrick’s first shot in the opening race on the card.

They do have a second runner on the day with Italian Star due to face the starter in the sixth race. The son of Dundeel has hit a hot spot of form in recent times scoring back-to-back wins over 1050m and 1200m … and then a runner-up finish over 1400m … in his last three starts.

Both of the Kendrick trained runners will be ridden by apprentice Ryan Houston.

Stuart Kendrick has an incredible run of Premierships behind his name having been crowned the Sunshine Coast Trainers’ Premiership winner for the last thirteen seasons in a row (the first of which came in 2013/14) after having same dominance in Mackay, where he won five Premierships in a row before he relocated his stable from Mackay to the Sunshine Coast.
