PARADOXIUM RULED OUT OF MAGIC MILLIONS

Having expectations can be very much a double-edged sword in the racing game. On a good day it feeds into the enthusiasm and the excitement of moment. On a bad day it devastates hopes and leaves aspirations out floating in the wind with nowhere to go.
For the connections of the Bjorn Baker trained Paradoxium the bad day arrived over the festive season when their Wyong Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic winner was not only withdrawn from his next scheduled assignment … The Group 3 B J McLachlan at Eagle Farm on December 27 … but was, more disappointingly, ruled out of the lucrative $3 million Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Classic at the Gold Coast on January 17, having suffered travel sickness when making the trip to Queensland and then contracting pneumonia.
Paradoxium had been the favourite for the Classic, one of the Magic Millions signature races, before this untimely turn of events.
