HKJC to use drones at the 2025 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races

In the lead-up to the 2025 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR), the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has been conducting controlled test flights of drone camera systems as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance one of world racing’s most watched international broadcasts.

The drones have been used in races in recent weeks - with complete success.

The new angles that will be telecast to millions of people on HKIR day will being a new dimension to watching the premier horse racing in Hong Kong,

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) will show the pre-race behind the barrier, footage in the running demonstrating the tactical angles for jockeys and dynamic wide angled views of the amazing Sha Tin racecourse.

The HKJC’s focus is on innovation that strengthens global coverage without compromising safety.

The HJKC is focussed on ensuring the world’s best racing is elevated to the highest standard. Drone technology will show a new storytelling for all racing fans – not only locally but across the world.
