JONES V LANG. THE FINAL SHOWDOWN
By Graham Potter | Tuesday, July 29, 2025
HRO has covered the twists and turns of the intense title chase for the Brisbane Jockey’s Premiership very closely over a fair period of time. Now, the final chapter is about to be written.
For many weeks Angela Jones and Emily Lang have vied for the right to claim a piece of history that will forever stand next their name … that being the honour of being the first female rider to claim the Brisbane Jockey’s Premiership.
With one meeting to go … this Wednesday’s meeting at Doomben … Jones is in the pound seats sitting two wins ahead of Lang and with more second placings behind her name should a countback be necessary.
Mathematically, it is still a contest though with Lang having seven rides on the day … and she has already shown the sort of commitment in this final charge to the line to let us know that she is not going to die wondering. Jones, however, does have seven rides of her own as well.
Here is the breakdown of Jones / Lang Wednesday playbook as rides and price indications stand at the time of writing.
